✨ I’M DELIGHTED TO FINALLY ANNOUNCE MY UPCOMING SOLO EXHIBITION:
🖤 FROM A ROCK TO A PLACE
An exhibition by Geraldine Martinez
📅 17–27 November 2026
📍 Gibraltar Fine Arts Gallery, Casemates Square
The exhibition brings together a selection of my paintings and drawings, from colourful landscapes inspired by places and memories to more conceptual explorations of the human figure within the landscape.
At the heart of the exhibition is a new series of ten large-scale charcoal works exploring isolation, connection, displacement, memory and environmental change. Alongside these, the colour landscapes offer a different perspective, capturing the beauty, atmosphere and character of the places that inspire me.
The title is a playful nod to Gibraltar’s most recognisable landmark, but it also speaks to the wider ideas behind the work: being between places, between states of mind, between what has been and what might come next.
Rather than offering definitive answers, FROM A ROCK TO A PLACE invites you to pause, look closer and find your own meaning in the work.
❤️ A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition will go towards supporting Prodean Animal Shelter and Save Gibraltar Street Cats, helping them continue their important work caring for animals in need.
Animals suffer the consequences of human actions without having any voice in the decisions we make. Supporting these two charities is something I really wanted to do through this exhibition.
It’s been a long journey bringing this body of work together, and I’m really looking forward to sharing it with you all.
Whether you know my work already or are discovering it for the first time, I’d love for you to come along. ❤️
Please save the dates, share this post and spread the word. It would mean so much to me!

Putting the finishing touches to these little Tarifa paintings for my upcoming exhibition.
Sometimes, when the weather outside is grey and rainy, there’s nothing better than escaping into a little sunshine and turquoise water. 🎨💙
A little behind-the-scenes glimpse of what I’ve been working on!

Just about finished this one in time for the exhibition next month! A painting of my own home, filled with all the little details that make it familiar to me.
As always, I got carried away with the intricate patterns and textures (nothing new there! 😂), but my favourite part has to be the cat, quietly looking out as though he’s spotted something we can’t see.
I love how a simple everyday moment can hold a little mystery. Perhaps a touch of Hopper inspiration here, he’s definitely one of my favourites.
What do you think? ❤️
